The smartphone market is expanding with new devices, brands, and features. Yesterday, Motorola launched a new flagship in the US, the Moto Edge+ (2023), with significant specifications, and more. Motorola Edge+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Like other flagship phone manufacturers, Motorola preferred one of the most powerful mobile chipsets, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Additionally, the new Motorola Edge+ comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage options. While the device runs Android 13 out of the box, the brand promises three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.
On the display side, the Edge+ Gen 3 features a 6.7-inch Endless Edge Display FHD+ (2400×1080) AMOLED with an adaptable 165Hz refresh rate, pOLED, Dolby Vision, and more features. The phone has a 5,100mAh battery, which could be the largest of any Motorola flagship. The battery supports 68W TurboPower charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W wireless power-sharing.
In terms of camera, the new Motorola Edge+ has a 50-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 2x 12-megapixel f/1.6 portrait camera, and a 50-megapixel f/2.2 autofocusing ultra-wide camera with macro capabilities. On the front, the flagship features a 60-megapixel selfie camera with Quad Pixel Technology.
While the new Edge+ unlocked is available in only Interstellar Black color, it will be on sale via Amazon, Best Buy, and the official website on May 25. The device has a starting price of $800 in the US and CAD 1,300 in Canada.
